Today was an interestingly odd day. Because one of my close friends has never seen me on my bike, I thought about visiting her with it since the 9er needed to stretch her legs a few months back. First day, she liked it. As a result, I’ve been visiting her and taking my bike whenever I can.
The following conversation happened not too long ago:
Her: “You ever thought about giving it a name?”
Me: “Like what?”
Her: “ Bloody Moon .”
Me: “... Come again? Bloody Moon ?”
Her: “Yeah! It’s blood red* and it actually looks nice under the moonlight.”
Me: “Well, yeah, it’ll look nice in Seattle while at night, but...”
For the short of it, she ended up christening my 919 the “Bloody Moon.” Can’t say I’m a fan of the name but at least she didn’t give it some God-awful name.
*Technically, it’s candy red.

Uhm, not to discourage you, at all, but if things progress a little, sometimes things that have no name get named. Just be ok with it - in the end, it works.

My DD Hyundai Accent is called “Humdrum”...somewhat fitting, lol. Bloody Moon sounds fine to me! :P

Could be worse. She could have named it Brad.

I’d say try and convince her to drop the Y. Blood Moon actually sounds pretty badass for a bike.
